How to Join & Register

NEW SCOUTS:

Interested in your child joining Pack 34? Cub Scouting is for girls and boys from 1st grade through the 5th grade, see below for step by step registration.

You must register with with both the BSA and Pack 34 - directions below.

EXISTING SCOUTS:

If you are a returning Cub Scout please see below for the registration process for Pack 34 you don't need to register with BSA again.

Registration:

New Scouts: WELCOME!

Please register your scout through the online youth application – HERE
- (Note, you will pay a fee when filling out this application, and you will also pay pack dues through PayPal).
Obtain uniform and book from San Rafael BSA trading post (link)
Pay dues through the PayPal link below.
- Remember to type your Scout’s name.

Fill out the pack family talent survey (Survey link – here)
Fill out medical forms Part A + B – HERE *
PARENTS: Please take the Youth Protection Training that is offered through Myscouting.org. The safety and well being of your scout is our #1 priority and ask all Pack 34 parents to join us in ensuring that safety. my.scouting.org

Returning Scouts: WELCOME BACK!

PARENTS: We request all parents to take the Youth Protection Training that is offered through Myscouting.org. The safety and wellbeing of your scout is our #1 priority and ask all Pack 34 parents to join us in ensuring that safety. – my.scouting.org (Create an account)
* Please fill out the A & B portions of the BSA Scout medical forms and seal it in an envelope. Medical forms will be stored in a locked portable data file and will accompany us on pack outings for use in case of an emergency. all Medical forms will be returned at the end of the scouting year.

Adult registration

Thank you for volunteering to help Pack 34. Please perform the following:
Communicate directly with your scout’s den leader and with Pack 34 committee chair
Register and fill out an online adult application – HERE
Complete mandatory youth protection training (YPT) online training on my.scouting.org
Review recommendations for respective adult leader position (links below)
Complete position-specific training on my.scouting.org
Registration fees for Pack 34 are $170. This covers our charter, your child’s registration with BSA (includes a Scouts' Life magazine subscription), and all of the expenses that we have to run the pack and provide a first-class experience for your sons and daughters. The below button will take you to our Pack’s preferred method of transacting, PayPal. There you will be able to pay by credit card or directly from your PayPal account if you have one. Please put the name of your child that you are registering in the ‘Name of Scout’ box on the payment page. You will be returned to this site when your transaction is complete.
If you are a registered member of Pack 34 and wish to pay your dues, please use the PayPal button to pay online.

Photography Publishing Policy

In a good-faith effort to promote Scouting and to share within the Scouting community, Mill Valley Pack 34 may publish from time to time on our website, photos of our Scouts and participating family members performing Pack activities. We realize that some Scouts, and participating family members, may prefer not to have their photos posted on our website, and to accommodate any such concerns, we ask that you immediately notify us here if you do not want photos of your Scout and/or participating family members posted on our website. We will make every effort to promptly remove any unauthorized photos from our website when notified.
