Hey Pack 34 Parents,
Please mark your calendars for the following events in March.
Also parents should be working with den leaders to make sure all cubs have been doing the required activities for their level. Vacation time is a great time to work on the requirements. If you're unsure what you should be doing contact your respective den leader.
Saturday March 10, Pinewood Derby Car Drop Off, Scout Hall, Time TBD in the afternoon
This is the official race car drop off. The exact rules are in the offical pinewood derby kit which is available online and at the Scout Store in San Rafael. Please read the rules carefully so your scout's car is eligible. Common disqualifications include electronics installed in the car, painted wheels, and not using the offical kit.
Sunday March 11, Pinewood Derby Race! Scout Hall. Time TBD

Candy Sales, Saturdays March 17 and 24, Mill Valley Market, Times TBD
Our annual fundraiser is a candy bar sale. Candy bars and detailed selling instructions will be available at the Pinewood Derby. We've set a lofty goal of $1,500 to be raised from candy sales. All scouts who participate will receve a patch and outstanding sellers will receive fishing gear as prizes.
Wed. March 28, Special Pack Meeting at the Golf Course Clubhouse, 7 pm
This is the Webelos Arrow of Light celebration as our oldest scouts graduate from cubdom.

The rocket launch was a huge success! Photos are here.
The highlight was the Webelo's project, led by Den Leader Joe Hiti, to build and launch a rocket with a digital video camera in the nosecone. (Thanks to Make Magazine for the plans.) Check out the movie we made to document this historic launch!
The Pack 34 Blue and Gold dinner is this Saturday night and we need RSVPs!
If you are new to Pack 34 you should know that this event is one of the highlights of the year for scouts and families. We'll be doing skits, raffles, singing and eating a catered dinner. All scouts will receive a patch and pinewood derby car.
Please bring cash for the raffle and your checkbook for candy sales.

Bus Stop Cleaning, Saturday Feb. 3,Times TBD by Den
This is one of our many service projects where each den clean various bus Stops throughout Mill Valley. Your den leaders will guide you when and where to meet.
