Reminder, Bring newspapers for snowball fight on Wednesday night!
Each week you will have several awards to hand out. What happens when a boy misses the pack meeting? You need to remember to give him the right stuff next month right.
Here is a plan that is flawless.
When you get all awards and segments from Tish you should...
1) place in a small snack size ziplock bag (one per boy)
2) tear off a tiny piece of paper, write the boy's name on it and drop it in the bag.
3) seal the bag with the ziplock.
Scenario 1 -The pack meeting
At the meeting, if the boy is there, you can call off all of his awards and hand him the bag. It is easier for you, and the boy stands a better chance of making it home with all of his stuff.
Scenario 2 - If a boy doesn't come to the pack meeting
You should put the bag for that boy in your scout shirt pocket, and button it. That way you will have it at the next meeting and won't have to remember what you owe the boy.
If you follow this procedure, life will be a bed of roses (less the thorns).

Hi Everyone,
Caroling is Sept 18, 1:30pm at the Greenbrae Care Center.
Thanks, K
Hi Everyone,
Please pass this on to your den families.
Our pack has to change gears on the Presidential Fitness award this year. We can't find a place to accomodate our runs.
But... a better opportunity has surfaced.
For those kids that want to earn a new award, they can earn the Presidential Sports Award. The cool thing is that sports from archery, badminton, martial arts, hiking to the more traditional basketball are included. See the link below.
http://www.fitness.gov/sports/sports.html
Say for example, your child chooses Alpine skiing as his sport, his patch will be an Alpine skiing/Presidential Sport patch.
Please print out the instructions and log. The pack will pay for the patches.
All logs must be sent to Kerry Huffman by February 1. All awards will be announced at the Blue and Gold dinner. Patches and certificates will be handed out in March.
Thanks,
Kerry
