Den Leaders:
Unfortunately, the persons slated to organize the food drive are no longer involved in scouts. Sooo, another opportunity to serve has come up! Hooray!!
All kidding aside, this is an important service project to which the Scouts are committed. We need a person to take on this important project soon. Please pass out the following information to all your den families ASAP.
The person organizing the food drive would need to do the following:
1) Call John Spilman, who organized this last year, to get his recommendations and street maps;
2) Meet with the food drive person from Pack 1 and Troop 1 to get the list of our Pack's assigned streets. I think it stays pretty much the same each year, but that needs to be confirmed;
3) Print out a map for each den with the streets marked ( Kerry is 99% sure that he has copies of what John Spilman did last year);
4) Pick up the bags at Scout store; and
5) Communicate the total plan to the den leaders for distribution to their respective dens.
Thank you,
Israel

Wednesday, October 13th at 7 PM - our first Pack meeting of the year - Recruiting Night.
This is the night when we invite other families to see what scouting is all about. Have your son invite a friend. In addition to the activity to be run by Joe Hiti, we will have a tent or two set up with camping gear, rockets and pinewood derby cars on display and a video of summer camp at Tamarancho. Any scout who recruits a new scout will receive a free pinewood derby car kit and a recruitment badge.
Please call if any questions - 381-5032.
Thanks
Duncan
