The Start of a New Year of Scouting
Hi Everyone,
I would like to make you aware of a couple dates.
- September 10 Pack Meeting. This has been POSTPONED.
- September 11: 911 remembrance and honoring our firemen/women and police men/women. At 8:10am on September 11, Pack 34 will meet in front of school at the Flagpole. The flag will be raised by our scouts, we will do a pledge of allegiance and a song. Teachers, students and parents are encouraged to attend. It will last about 10 minutes (first bell). Last year it was very emotional for everyone.
Please have your scout wear his uniform that day to school.
- September 18: Pack potluck at Boyle park. More info on time... will come from your Den Leaders. This is a good way for all the families to get together, have some food and fun. It is also a good chance for our new families to be welcomed to the pack. If you know of families that are considering scouting or they are just curious, invite them. We will have some things there to show off some of what scouting is all about.
You will receive more formal information soon from your respective den leaders. I just wanted to make sure you have the early dates on your calendar.
See you on the 11th.
Thanks,
Kerry Huffman
